We’re in the Final Phases of Roscoe’s Puzzle of Patience!
There are few moments more exciting for an author than seeing a story you’ve carried in your heart finally come to life. Today, I’m thrilled to share that Roscoe’s Puzzle of Patience has officially entered the final stages of development!
Over the past several months, we’ve been carefully writing, illustrating, revising, and polishing every page to create a story that is not only fun to read but also filled with encouragement, faith, and valuable life lessons for young readers.
This adventure follows our favorite raccoon, Roscoe, as he dreams of building the perfect treehouse. Like many of us, Roscoe begins with excitement and confidence—but quickly discovers that big dreams don’t always come easily.
Branches are too heavy.
Measurements don’t line up.
Projects fall apart.
Even his playful friend Benny unintentionally turns a difficult day into an even bigger mess!
As frustration grows, Roscoe begins to wonder if he’s simply not good enough to finish what he started.
Thankfully, this isn’t just a story about building a treehouse.
It’s a story about building perseverance.
With gentle encouragement from Mama Raccoon and the timeless wisdom of Ollie the Owl, Roscoe learns one of the Bible’s most encouraging verses:
“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
Through Ollie’s retelling of Noah’s incredible journey of faith and obedience, Roscoe begins to understand that patience isn’t simply waiting—it’s trusting God while continuing to faithfully do the work He has placed before us.
Armed with a renewed heart, Roscoe returns to his project with a different perspective. Instead of rushing, he plans carefully. Instead of becoming discouraged, he learns from each setback. He asks for help, celebrates small victories, and discovers that every step forward—no matter how small—is progress worth celebrating.
By the end of the story, Roscoe doesn’t just build a treehouse.
He builds resilience.
He builds patience.
Most importantly, he builds a deeper trust in God’s perfect timing.
Where We Are Now
I’m happy to share that we’re now in the final phases of production!
The manuscript has been completed, and the illustrations are being finalized to ensure every page captures the warmth, wonder, and heart of Roscoe’s journey. Every brushstroke and every scene is being carefully crafted to create a beautiful keepsake families will enjoy reading together.
It’s incredibly rewarding to watch this project come together after so much prayer, planning, and hard work.
